Can the HOMYHUB GARAGE be powered directly from the automation control panel?

The answer is no, but yes.

Not directly, since HOMYHUB GARAGE is powered by 5V - 1A, and the control or maneuvering panels of garage motor automations usually have 110V, 220V connections and for low voltage 12V or 24V.

But it is possible (done by a professional electrician), taking the 110 V or 220 V power supply from the same control panel and making a splice to connect (with a splice terminal) a 5V mobile charger or power supply with a USB port and from there feed the HOMYHUB GARAGE with any USB to Micro USB cable in its side port.

Regarding the clamps or terminal blocks, so that the charger tips can fit, we believe that they should be at least 50 mm. Here you'll find a reference on Amazon, but you'll probably find it at any local hardware store too.

And here we add a reference image of this joint we mentioned:

Another option, if there is a 12V or 24V output on the control panel (which they usually have), is to use a converter of this type: Amazon Converter Reference.

Note: This is for reference only; converter type may vary depending on the engine make and model.
