I'm an admin user at a door. I sent a virtual remote to someone, and the app shows that they have more than one virtual remote. What happened?

You've assigned a virtual remote to that person with the owner role. This role allows not only access to the door via its remote, but also the management of additional virtual remotes.

This way, the owner can assign virtual remotes to other users in the guest role, without having to contact the administrator. This greatly simplifies management in situations like families, where a mother can independently assign virtual remotes to her children, fathers, or friends. In the business world, an owner can assign this role to a manager, who can then independently manage employee access.

Despite this delegation, the administrator retains complete control and can monitor, delete, or modify virtual remotes as needed, in addition to maintaining a complete record of the inputs and outputs associated with all managed remotes. As always, unlike physical remotes or keys, with HOMYHUB you'll always have complete control and security over your access 🔐.

If you only want the owner(s) of your door to have one virtual remote (for their personal use), you can revoke their access and then grant it back, without adding additional remotes to their permissions.
