How do you wire two gates that are far apart?

Some of our customers who have distant or far-flung doors and do the wired installation, what they have done is simply:

A- Extending cables:

If you need to extend or extend the HOMYHUB door or sensor connection cables, you can splice them using virtually any type of cable, as these cables carry a voltage-free pulse. In our tests using 25 meters of cable extension, it worked without any problems.

Our customers typically use a single 8-wire cable (UTP or telephone type) to extend the HOMYHUB motor control board connection cable(s). These can be easily routed from one gate/motor to another because they are thin and light (and inexpensive), making installation simple.

In the case of UTP, Here is a reference from one of Amazon, for less than 10 Euros, and Here is another longer one designed for outdoors.

Here is a reference of traditional splice terminals on Amazon. And Here are some other UY type clemas that could be useful to you. Both materials can also be found at virtually any hardware store or electrical supply store.

You would only have to make a splice at one end with the connector cable used for port D1 or D2 of the HOMYHUB GARAGE (which has the black tip), and connect the other end of the UTP/Telephone cable to the respective input of the garage motor control box and that's it!

And remember that the order in which you connect the cables to the motor terminals is irrelevant, as we designed the HOMYHUB GARAGE to be polarity-free. In other words, the order in which the HOMYHUB GARAGE's red or black cables are connected doesn't matter.

Finally, since you will have another 6 or 4 wires of the cable left, if you want you can use 2 of those wires to extend and install other opening sensors on that other door (if the sensor cable does not reach that door), with this same UTP or Intercom wiring, making an extension or splice of the sensor cable.

B- HOMYHUB GARAGE Extra: 

If you do not want to wire between doors, you can also install a HOMYHUB GARAGE Extra on the second door. Since the HOMYHUB CONNECT can control multiple HOMYHUB GARAGE units, they can be located up to a maximum of 20 - 30 meters from your Starter Kit.
