# Do recurring or temporary accesses also consume a Virtual Remote?

Yes, Virtual Remotes are like physical remotes, but with all the power of our mobile solution. There are five, and when you send them, you can customize the access type to suit your needs: Indefinite, Temporary, or Recurring.

 

That is, if you have 5Virtual Remotes, you keep one for yourself, leaving 4 available to submit. Then you send one to your colleague, with recurring access for the weekends, and now you have 3 available to submit. If your colleague's Virtual Remote expires, or you revoke it, you'll have 4 more to submit.
